Funny Faces and Furry Friends!

Hello! We have had another great couple of weeks. Caden is growing and learning new things everyday. It is so hard to believe that he will be 2 months old on Wednesday!! We have a doctor's visit and our first round of shots on Wednesday, so think about him (and us) then because I am sure that he will not be too impressed, and if I know our son at all, he will make us pay for it the rest of the day. He gets that from his dad! :)

Below are a few pictures from the past two weeks that you will enjoy.

First I want to start by publicly thanking Kodiak the cat for taking over the computer duties for the family. With the new addition mommy and daddy are so busy with the baby, so he has really picked up the slack for us.

Mommy runs a tight ship!

"I'm keeping an eye on mommy to make sure she isn't burning daddy's dinner!

I like to call these next pictures "The Many faces of Caden" Enjoy!

This is my- not so impressed- face. Daddy did my hair after my bath- what was he thinking!

This is my intense stare face that I give anytime someone holds me close.

This is my amazement face- how DO those lights blink with the music!

This is my amused face-that daddy sure can be a clown!

This is my happy-camper face- I sure love my floor mat!

This is my poopy face- I sure have to work hard!

This is my giggle face- that bird sure is funny!

This is my pouty face- look at that lip!

This is my mad face- I'm not playin' around anymore.

This is my smiley face- do you think it will get the girls?

This is my happy face- mommy and daddy love me so much!

This is my sweet sleepy face- life is good napping in mommy's arms!

This is my adorable face- the one that mommy and daddy can't get enough of!

We hope that you love the faces of Caden as much as we do.

Have a great Thanksgiving to everyone "out there". Brain and I are certainly excited to be giving thanks for all of the blessings in our lives, especially our beautiful little man. Talk to you in a few days!

I'm Growing Like a Weed!!!

Oops- I didn't turn the picture so you will have to turn your head!

I have discovered the plug- mom sure does like it- or at least the quiet that comes with it!
Daddy can make me smile but mommy isn't quick enough with the camera to catch it!
Apparently three is not a crowd!
I am such a cute little man!

Grandma Beci's Visit

Beci came down this week to visit and we had a lot of fun. Between playing with the baby, celebrating her birthday and enjoying Halloween, we had a lot of picts to share from her trip. Beci we really enjoyed having you and can't wait for you to come back!

Brian and Beci are enjoying her birthday mining for gems... can't you tell they think they are going to hit the mother load!

Our evening activity was carving pumpkins- we had one for all of us, including a small one for Caden!

Grandma is giving me a bath, and she got as wet as I did!

Grandma love's a sweet baby boy- especially when he is sleeping QUIETLY!

I love my grandma, but I sure am not happy right now!

My First Halloween!!!

I am so proud- my first major acomplishment as a mother since delivery- I made Caden's mustard costume completely from scratch!!! No pattern!!!

Caden was not as impressed with my work as I was!

Why mustard... to go with the hotdog of course!

He is sporting his snazzy halloween outfit from Kevin, Christa and Noah!

A Weekend of Firsts!

What a weekend! Grandpa came in on Thursday night, and that was the start of a busy weekend filled with firsts. We went into downtown Greenville to our beautiful park and took our first stroll along the river. Then grandma and grandpa baby-sat so that mom and dad could go to dinner and a movie for moms birthday. (That was a bit tough- I held my phone the entire movie!) Then on Sunday we drove to North Carolina and went hiking at Chimney Rock State Park. When we got home, Caden got his first tub bath. Whooo... lots going on.

Monday was a little sad because grandma and grandpa went home, and now the true test and taste of parenthood begins. And it began with a bang- he cried beginning at 1:30, after we dropped them off at the airport and is still having "episodes" now at 8:30 pm.. Talk about REALITY! Mom you were wonderful- and we miss all of your help already!

Below are some pictures from this crazy weekend.

Daddy is already teaching me computer games!

I am so excited that grandpa is here!
Family pics in the park!

Grandpa is doing Caden's laundry! Mark this day in history! :)
Grandma is giving me a sponge bath while mom and dad are out.

We are 2 weeks old!

Hello from Greenville. Well, we have officially made it two weeks! And I haven't killed Brian or mom, so I am considering everything a success.

We have had a few ups and downs, but we are working through everything. Caden was tongue tied, and it was affecting his ability to nurse and could have potentially led to speech problems in the future, so we had to have his tongue clipped on Monday of last week. I think the procedure hurt Brian and I more than it hurt him. On Tuesday we went back to the pediatrician, and had a weigh-in and we were back at birth weight, so that was great. Caden likes his mama's milk!

Grandpa arrived on Thursday, so it is going to be a weekend of spoiling, I am sure.

Below are a few new picts, we hope that you enjoy them!

Trying to catch that perfect picture- still working on it!
Mom and Grandma are making me pose for pictures- not liking it too much!

Here Kodiak is helping mama feed the baby!

Goin' for a ride!

Still trying to get that perfect picture-still not happy about it!

I am thinking hard about this nap!

Wide-eyed and thinking about making trouble!

I sure love my grandma!

Hamming it up for the camera with Grandma!
